NWT Snowboard is proud to name eight athletes to Team NWT for the territory’s home Arctic Winter Games in Fort Smith. Territorial trials took place at the 2018 Arctic Winter Games hill in Fort Smith throughout Friday and Saturday. Fort Smith camp rescheduled due to cold conditions

NWT Snowboard has postponed this weekend’s planned regional camp in Fort Smith owing to the exceptionally cold forecast for the community. Local organizers and NWT Snowboard jointly reached the decision late on Thursday as the forecast for Sunday, in particular, fell significantly according to Environment Canada. With the season almost ready to go, Yellowknife’s Ragged Riders club has confirmed its operating hours for this winter. The Bristol Pit facility will be open to all pass holders (you must hold a day pass or season pass to gain entry) at the following times: Saturdays: 1pm till 4pm Sundays: 1pm till 4pm Wednesdays: 6:30pm till 9pm Operating hours commence on January 10 or as soon as snow permits – we’ll post an update if the club is able to begin operations earlier!
