Location:

Event Duration: 

  • 10 am – 3:00 pm

Event Disciplines:

  • Slalom & Banked Slalom
  • Slopestyle
  • Big Air

Gear:

  • Helmets must be worn at all times
  • WARM GEAR! There will be times where you may be standing around. You can always take layers off.
  • Rental gear is available at Bristol Pit if needed
  • Please bring any other protective gear you feel necessary (spine protector, wrist guards, etc)

Lunch:

  • Lunch will be provided by NWT Snowboard
  • Burgers and drinks
  • Please email nwtsnowboard@gmail.com if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions

Notes:

  • Judging will be based on;
    • Amplitude
    • Difficulty
    • Style/ Execution
  • Judges will announce rankings after each event
  • In case of a tie breaker, the winner will be determined by events won
    • In the rare case that does not clearly define a winner it will go to a head to head event decided by the judges.
  • Coaching tip: Try your best, have fun and stick with the tricks you know. Attempting new tricks at events can ultimately hurt your score and can be dangerous, stick to what you’ve practised
  • If the weather is colder than -30C the lift will not be in operation, the event will continue but riders will be expected to hike up the hill

Welcome!
10 am 10:45 am When you arrive please sign-in right away. After receiving your pinnie please stay warm and await further instructions
Riders Meeting
10:45 am 11:00 am Coaches and judges will walk you through each event and explain what they are looking for from each rider, explain the events and answer any questions
Slalom & Banked Slalom
11:00 am 11:15 am Practice runs
11:15 am 11:45 am Slalom & Banked Slalom
Jam format – riders can do as many times as they want within the time limit, they will be judged on their best run
Both the bank slalom and slalom will be run simultaneously. When one run ends the other will start

Slopestyle/ Rail Jam
12:00 pm 12:15 pm Practice runs
12:15 pm 1:00 pm Slopestyle/ Rail Jam
Slopestyle format but if the weather is too cold we will change the event to a Rail Jam
Freestyle event consisting of a run which includes boxes, rails and jumps
